Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District.
The Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District holds monthly Membership Meetings on the second Monday of each month.
New Member Applications are accepted in January and July.
Applications must be returned to the Administrative Offices at 301 Meadowood Drive by the 1st of the month.
Persons who are already certified by the State of Colorado as either an EMT or Firefighter may join throughout the year, provided the application is received one week before the monthly Membership Meeting.
All applications are reviewed by the Membership Committee who will then contact the interested applicant to discuss membership with the Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District.
There are several volunteer opportunities available:
You must have a State of Colorado EMT Certification before becoming a volunteer.
You can register for EMT classes with Colorado Mountain College
Fire Fighter certification can be achieved through the Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District by attending the Fire Fighter I course. This course will enable you to achieve your State of Colorado Certification.
Ambulance Driver certification can be achieved through the Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District by attending the Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District Ambulance Driving Course. This is an in-house certification.
